I guess this is another reason I love the movie "The Madness of King George" - because it shows a different side of Prinny than most Regency novels, even Heyer. In these Prinny is portrayed as a basically lovable character - and I guess many in his public still did love him. Another portrayal of the dark side of Prinny was the TV special (forget its name) about Prinny and Caroline.
