] I am trying to find out information on new farming practices
] during Jane's time.
Do you want them for where she lived, or for England in general, or for a wider spread than that? This is areally big topic. Most of the new practices are actually pre-Jane, if the truth be told. There's some information in our archives, and also in the Archives on the Emma Board, as this is the most "farming-orientated" of her novels.I think the last conversation there was on strawberry breeding.
I have come across the name Lord Coke several times but have not come into contact with any useful information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thomas Coke, Holkham Hall (rather a monstrosity, but quite fun), Norfolk Rotation, turnips, Lord Townsend, marling, land reclamation, lectures.
