To L and T index ] do you happen to know what is the connection between Lettice Knollys and the St. Aubyn family? I visited "St. Michael's Mount" (according to a leaflet belongs that family since the XVII century) in April and ran into a picture of her.

] And thank you for the infomation on Lady Catherine. :-)

No, I have searched through all of my sources. The family was not titled in 1812 or 1818 (or before), so my peerages have no info on them (although Debrett's 1812 lists John St. Aubyn as a baronet, the distinction having been conferred in 1671). My peerage database only has a handful of St. Aubyns included, most from the turn of the 20th century. I found a couple of them who married into the Parker family (who owned Saltram) during this century-- aparently they held a barony then. Actually this is driving me crazy because I just know I have read about them somewhere recently. Usually I am remarkably good about pinpointing which book I read something in, but the St. Aubyns are escaping me completely.
