From The Regency Reference Book by Emily Hendrickson (mentioned in the bibliography, I believe):
"Blond lace- a lace made of fine mesh with patterns worked in silk producing a shiny satin-like pattern. Blond lace could be natural coloured, black or sometimes in colours like green."
