In response to Phaeton - another vehicle, written by RogerV on July 11, 1998 at 02:11:51
I cannot recall right off where I heard it, but I understand that the phaeton was generally a man's vehicle anyway, possibly difficult to handle and, as I've seen you note already, difficult to climb into. Not to mention it was not entirely safe as it tended to tip. Prinny was very proud of his. I'll see what I can find on this subject, it might take awhile. But I don't think that ladies driving a phaeton could be entirely accurate. And phaetons, though not exclusively, were generally driven by the owner, usually a gentlemen, as driving your own sporting vehicle was the fashionable thing to do.
