] I have a threesome of new faves, Elisabeth Fairchild and Martha Kirkland and Judith A. Landsdowne. I find these well written. I rate books by characters (and their interaction), plot, conversation, narrative, and trueness to the Regency mode. Just finished Landsowne's "Balmorrow's Bride" which was really quite wonderful. Of course my tried and true faves are Heyer (of course), Joan Smith, Marion Chesney, Carla Kelly and Barbara Metzger. Some rate no stars, some one and all of the above three stars! Diana LB
Diana, as I've said further down the board, we have a new place to discuss Regency novels and novelists. We try to keeep Pemberley for Jane Austen books and adaptations only.(mainly becuase we cannot cover everything!) The Regency heart is about to start a group read of "Bath Tangle"- perhaps you'd like to join in! Here's the link...
