] Also, it's kinda interesting that our Rationalist Wollstonecraft succumbed to the charms of a young American during or just prior to the French Revolution, who then deserted her and left her pregnant with Fanny (I think). At any rate, it just goes to show that she could be highly emotional herself as well as overly rational.

] PS. Any pointers on where else to look for info on bluestockings, I'm all curious now :)



The last part of my message above -- even though I tagged the link correctly, it got lost. Click on table of contents and search down the list for Mary Robinson's "Thoughts on the Mental Subordination of Women" or a title similar.
