] We do, actually , prefer real names in Pemberley (though I can see how you arrived at yours! )We don't use titles, either,. A strange habit, you might say, but we find it pays to be absolutely straight and up front about this kind of thing. If you would please be so kind as to read the FAQ, or glance over the newcomer's page attatched to the Home page , you'll understand this better. Links to both these things can be found at the top of this post.

] May we also know what you require this informqtion for? I cannot, for example, find any passage in Jane Austen where your questions would apply.
] My mistake was in jumping in too quickly. Glad to see that you can see how I got my nickname, since it IS a nickname! My question about fevers comes from reading literally hundreds of other Regencies, starting with Georgette Heyer after there were no more Jane Austens.
