] Anything which taxes the immune system can cause a fever. Recall also that without thermometers, "fever" didn't necessarily have the same technical definition as it does today. A child who suffered a bump on the head might be put to bed to rest, smothered in quilts and comforters, causing her to sweat and be restless, and thus appear to have a fever.

] Also, pardon me, but in the British peerage system, a baroness would never be known as "Baroness {Firstname}." You might find my site on titles
