Cassia has your corset answer here. My source just mentions pantaloons and the advent of trousers. They were indeed very "body-hugging." I don't know if you have read the article where Colin Firth addressed the famous swimming scene that he was to go in nude. This wouldn't be proper for him or the BBC, so they tried to make up some sort of undergarment for him, which didn't work. He said that all the Regency men generally had was a very long shirt that reached down and was, well, 'tucked under.' This was probably what we saw. ; )
