Family history is fascinating, even if sometimes it takes a while to extract. I wish I'd 'pumped' my grandmother for more stories when I had the chance, it's a pity when all those stories get lost to posterity. I've just discovered my father had several uncles and aunts that his family never even mentioned, so we could have lots of cousins we don't know about.
Good luck with your grandmother, maybe you should take a tape recorder with you!
