Bravo is airing a movie this month called 'Children of Paradise'. It is a French movie made in the 1940's (I pretty certain) and set in 1840's Paris. It revolves around the theater and Pantomime houses and gives you a good feel of both, even though it is set in Paris. These two genres were very popular during the Regency. And the movie itself is a satire and very funny. You get to see a duel fought too (the participants show up drunk) - and then one not quite fought! Enjoy it if you get the chance.
