To L and T index] I'm interested in the historical content, especially Army & Navy, France & neighbors, London life, etc. I know this must sound vague and I apologize.

The Spanish Bride takes place during the Napoleonic Wars. It is based on the true story of Henry Smith and his Spanish wife, Juana. It starts at Badajoz (1812) and ends after Waterloo (1815) (I have not read it in awhile).

An Infamous Army takes place during the days before and the battle of Waterloo. I found it hard to get into at first, but once fully into it is hard to put down. I especially liked the fact that it showed what the women who staid in Brussels did during the battle.

I don't believe GH did any Navy books. Beauvallet is about a privateer during the reign of Elizabeth the First, and one of my favorites.
