I have always wondered about the clothes used to make clothing in England before the colonization of the US. It would seem obvious that they only had cotton, silk, fur, and wool; and that after the colonization of the US they used cotton for clothing(as the South traded a lot of cotton with England.) But did they use cotton before that or wool?
I could just be really dense and there's a common sense answer to this, but all the same if you have any info I'd like to hear it.
