Thanks to John W for his informative advice (I had no idea it was used back so early!) and to Caroline for kindly offering to check up for me. However, I was just watching P&P1 for the first time today (my God!! those voice overs- and how many times can one say "mortified" in one film?:-) and anyway, back to the subject, I heard Lydia say "Thank you, for if you did, I should certainly tell you all, and then Wickham would be angry". That reminded me that she does say that in the book. Oops,I missed that one!:-)
