What would a wedding breakfast consist of?

I would imagine that a wedding breakfast would be quite sumptuous. Would it be more like a dinner? Is champagne the drink of choice or would it be wine and beer or coffee and tea? How long would it last? Would it be buffet style or formal sit down?
I am refering to the kind the Darcys or the Knightleys would have.
I am not satisfied with the little information I have on this subject and would greatly appreciate your help, thank you.
