] Chamber pots are also a favorite topic of mine. Anyone ever read T. Coraghasssen Boyle's fictional account of Mungo Park -- shoot, can't remember the name of the book! His fiancee's wife's father makes novelty pots, some with illustrations on notables at the bottom.

Amy, sounds interesting. I am very enamoured by the subject of toiletries/cosmetics and adornment. The volume of material on this subject is never ending, thus my eager desire to share this with anyone interested.

I will be reading Max Von Boehn's Modes & Manners. It is apparently a good source of research on this subject(including Regency), Cathy of the Regency clothing site recommended the book to me.
