Kali loves this picture. I thought you might like it, too, or find a new topic in it. It's from the Dear Cassandra Book, watercolor by Diana Sperling, depicting walking to dinner through the mud.

The S&S adaptation had a close up of the mud the Dashwood ladies had to navigate around on the way to the assembly in London. Or no, I guess in London especially it was more the horse droppings you had to worry about.
