Celery root

To L and T index It's sometimes called celeriac. Ugly, isn't it? My German landlady used to peel and grate it and serve it raw (in a lemony dressing to stop it discolouring) rather like coleslaw. You can also cut it into chunks and boil or steam it like any other root vegetable, add it to stews, make soup out of it- in short, cook it as you might celery.I quite like the taste of it.
