] Indeed it is, but it has been awhile since I read it. But if you can find it (it took me over two years to run across a copy in a used bookstore) it is certainly worth it. It covers the war from Badajoz to Waterloo, with both military action and military daily life intermingled.

] Also, for an interesting take on Waterloo, read GH's "An Infamous Army". While it gives an account of the battle, it also gives an account of how many of the women trapped in Brussels became nurses to the wounded and dying during the battle.
