] Aristocratic men have long played musical instruments only you likely would not hear them play in public. If I remember correctly, Henry VIII played something very well. Not only was he a sporting man, but he was a creative man as well. I can check on that. I've lots of info laying around about HIM.

Henry VIII not only played, but composed! I've heard his dance music on the radio. Also, Frederick II of Prussia (18th century) was a famous flute player and composed a lot of music for the flute.
