Removed Messages

I do know that some people have problems loading this board of it contains over 100K of data, so I try to prune it fairly frequently.
This morning I archived a whole pile of stuff, basically everything that was here before the beginning of April. Please don't panic...they are in the archive. I do try to archive complete conversations, and I don't usually do anything with them until I am fairly sure that everyone has said all that they wish to say, but of course, I'm not perfect, and sometimes it doesn't suit everybody. If it isn't clear, I don't usually erase posts completely , except for duplicates or other glitches, and those that the poster requests me to remove. If you want to continue a conversation that has already been archived, it's best to do it by starting a new message. Please don't try to respond to a post that is actually in the archives...it won't show up for all the world to see.You can link the archived conversation to the new message (or you can ask me to do it for you.)
Any comments about this can be sent to me by e-mail.Just click on my name at the top of this post.
Posting followups to old messages is disabled; instead go to the main index and post a new message which mentions this one.
