It bothers me, too. I haven't really come to a conclusion either.
However, we could all put up what we have got,discuss it, and see if it gets us somewhere.
Do you think she was trying to provoke a reaction? What, in all your delving, makes you think this way, or its opposite? What particular things make it confusing to you?
Also, and possibly more importantly, are you working to a deadline on this, or are you content with a leisurely chat, a change of subject, and maybe come back to it in a few months time?This is actually the way we work, researching stuff that we have sparked off each other. If you need answers fast, then you might be wasting your time.
