To L and T index
] I have a feeling your "london correspondent" has a more specific meaning.........Is it from Jane's letters?

Merci beaucoup, I've been wondering about this stuff for years. Both references are from Persuasion, about midway through chapter 3.

I thought quater sessions may have had something to do with judicial matter, but didn't know where to look or how to ask until I found ROP. The reference is to Mr. Shepherd attending, as Mr. Shepherd is a lawyer...

I think a correspondent is a business agent or representative. I was wondering if a London correspondent is something more.
