Notice how they cleverly had a huge circus parade go by at that moment to provide a distraction so that no-one would notice Anne & Captain Wentworth kissing. I love the pause before they realize no-one's paying attention to them and then they kiss!

Hmm... but how much of kissing (and all it implies to us) is a cultural rather than a biological part of human nature? (BTW, as every seven year old knows kissing spreads cooties as well as germs! YUK >:P )
