] ] My other question is, if you were a gentleman of that era, what names would you prefer for your horse (if at all) and dogs.
] Things ancient Greek & Roman were very popular then.
Last year, for the fun of it, we had a "Name Darcy's Horses" contest. Here's what we came up with:
1. Merryton Assembly- Passion, Desire, Admiration, Regard
2. Ramsgate- Serendipity
3. From Pemberley to London- Shocked, Grieved, Nono, Chestnut Season
4. From Netherfield to London- Utterly, Completely
5. Wedding- Shakespeare, Pope, Burns, Byron
His Black Horse, Pride’s Foal
His Grey Horse, WhipperObviously, some of the above names were meant jokingly and will not be helpful for your purposes. However, it might be interesting for you to see how other members of the Pemberley community think.
There were some other (more serious) suggestions--if you're interested I can dig them up for you. Also, we named the dogs too, but I can't seem to find those posts. I'll ask around and see what I can find.
