Thank you both for your suggestions. They make for some exciting research into things I know nothing about.
As for the Jane Austen Cookbook, I've glanced through it at the library and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have yet to invest in it.
If either of you haven't had a chance to check out Jane Austen: In Style, that is one of the most beautiful books I've ever laid eyes on. From cover to cover there is great mention of styles of every sort and wonderful pictures.
