] I believe that practically everybody with English ancestors is descended from Edward III: there was a genealogist (sorry, can't remember his name) who worked out he was descended from Edward III three times.
If someone in Pemberley claimed him as one of their ancestors, I wouldn't be at all surprised !;-)
