Here are a few questions I have on dancing.
At an assembly or at a ball, were cards filled out before the dance began or did a person just dance with whomever asked them? I'm asking this because I've heard of dance cards and was wondering when that custom began.
I just want to be clear, a man couldn't go up to a girl and ask her to dance unless they had been formally introduced right?
When Lizzy tells Darcy that she's not inclined to dance, this is a way of refusing him but doesn't that also mean that she can't partake in any other dance for the rest of the evening?
