To L and T indexThey had a decent variety of fabric designs available to them, including prints and florals. The prints were usually small though. The best source I know that goes in to wonderful detail about the dress-making process and the fabrics used is The Fabric of Society. You should be able to check it out from a library. Look in Pemberley's bibliography for more information on this book. As far as what fabric type to use, there are plenty of ladies here who share your hobby and I'm sure they will be following soon!
