] I am curious about why there is so little mention of Christmas in JA's books.
"Persuasion" has a good description of a noisy old-fashioned Christmas at the Musgroves.
A lot of the modern Christmas hype is later, pushed by such strange bedfellows as Charles Dickens and Coca-Cola.
