To L and T index ] Just out of sheer curiosity...Is reindeer meat common in Sweden?
]

It is fairly common , well not like lamb, pig or cow meat but something like deer, elk and roe deer .
After the reactor disaster at Tjernobyl lots of reindeers were contaminated due to radiactive fallout and the meat is less frequent I think. They had to be slaughtered because they ate the lichen on the areas where the wind brought the poison.
But it is very tasty and smoked reindeer meat is a delicacy preferably with horseradish scented butter!!
