] Perfume was invented way before the french, and many perfumes were designed as much for their antibiotic and cleansing properties as for the actual smell.
] Ambergris has long been used in the making of perfume. It has a subtle musk scent and is know for it's cinging properties. Perfume containing ambergris can last for two or three days.
