To L and T indexI read this book too. I found it excellent reading. I've read many Austen biographies and found this one very enlightening, even fresh. I understand that it was given very good reviews, better than the one we are reviewing now in the library. I've not finished the other one yet but am very pleased with her style... a little jumpy though and perhaps hard to follow. What I liked so much about Nokes is that he handled one period at a time as far as time sequence went. It was very easy to follow. I kind of agree with Nuke's Bath interpretation but that was the first time I have seen it interpreted thus.
