In response to Social status of Jews during the Regency?, written by Leanne S on March 16, 1998 at 14:27:58
I read somewhere that George III was personally responsible for repealing the law which required all Jews to wear distinctive clothing. I cannot find the reference right now, Leanne, but I think it would be safe to say that in Regency England Jews would have looked like any other people (and that might be important in a Buffy story!!!)
