]Every boy (and I mean every boy!)in the neighborhood was given a realistic-looking pop-gun for Christmas! (well, those things that use little strips of padded gunpowder and when the hammer falls on it it cracks a pop. I'm not sure what they are called.)
Those are cap pistols. They are physically quite harmless, no matter how much my friends and I tried to do major damage with them when younger. I'm a little surprised to see them still around in these times, though.
