What was common practice in regard to guardianship? I am curious about the significance of Darcy sharing the guardianship of Georgiana with Fitzwilliam.
And why Fitzwilliam, rather than his older brother? Was it too insignificant a task for the future Lord? Or does it indicate that Fitzwilliam was more responsible? Or just that he was such great friends with Darcy?
