] According to "Miss Manners' Guide for the Turn of the Millenium":............a gentleman who kisses the air above a matron's hand (never an unmarried girl"s) in the european equivalent of a handshake........."
When is it proper for a gentleman to kiss the hand of an unmarried woman? Wickham had kissed Lizzy's hand in the "let us not quarrel about the past" scene. It this appropriate now that he is her brother? Are all relatives allowed to do this?
