To L and T indexSome styles, whether hair or clothing or even personal habits, just are not very appealing to the modern viewer. Would you watch a movie where the main character is supposed to be wonderfully handsome and debonnaire but his clothes are always sweaty and they look so dirty you can almost smell them? And he obviously doesn't brush his teeth? (I don't mean those action-adventure movies, either, where the characters are supposed to be dirty) Well, strike that, oops!, some women actually like that sort of thing! I did enjoy Persuation, though, and it definately did have that grimy look to it, so did the Horseman of the Roof. The sweat and dirt and grime was handled, I think, very well, and I suppose it endeared me more to the movie for its authentisism.
