Schooling

It seems to me that many C19th female novelists have a great respect for educated women, which JA doesn't share, and I don't know how much of it is to do with her character and how much reflects the atmosphere of her society.
I have been reading the JA bio and I wonder if her experiences in school influenced her attiudes on the subject.
