The Search Engine is a bit slow. I think it's because it's full- and I'm gonna have to do something about it.It does work, though.
About a long quote-sure why not? I belive copyright laws allow you to quote 20% of a text, or 20% of a chapter, as long as credit is given.If you are worried about posting a big pile of text (as sometimes happens in fan-fic)then do what you would do there- split it up into two or three posts. This board has the same script and stuff as the fan-fic one!
And finally, to answer your question about fencing (which hasn't come up before,so there's nothing in the Archive):-
I believe that Mr Darcy would have gone to a private "establishment" to Fence- sort of the equivalent of going to the Gym today. I cannot remember any names of any Fencing establishments , the only one that comes to mind is Cribb's Parlour, for Boxing, and that's straight out of Queen Georgette's work.I have no idea whether Cribbs' did fencing and other sports as well.
I believe that Fencing was also part of Military training-can't put my hand to a quote though.
