Flowers

If I recall correctly, wasn't it fairly commonplace for a man to send flowers to a woman he had danced with the previous night and admired? I just remember books where after a successful night during the Season, a woman would get flowers. Not anything expensive, of course (THAT would make a statement), but little posies.
