So, Patricia, if a man was in love with a woman and wanted to marry her he could give her flowers or a gift, but what if he hadn't proposed yet, if they weren't officially engaged and what if the parents didn't approve?
I am always trying to find out all the minor details of things. Half the time, though, I find that there are no hard and fast rules. Do you think that is the case here?
