Does anyone know of any resources on Luddism?

I do not know of any acedemic resources; however, I recently learned that Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's Frankenstein was not intended to be a horror story but rather a statement about the dangers of machines and technology getting out of control. Appearently Mary was a Luddite. I have the feeling that after saying this I'll find out that it is one of those things everyone else already knew, but, hey, it was news to me. I would like to read an unabridged version of Frankenstein while keeping in mind the author's original intentions. A 'group read' someday?
