To L and T index] Caroline, I think you should read Edward Said, and then use your in-depth knowledge of county enclosures to refute him... there's nothing like historical fact for refuting theoretical argument! (but that drags me back to the thesis again :-( )


But then that means I have to get all academic!Thanks for the faith in me, though! I'd like to read him, when I can find the book. (I'm actually hunting for Mavis Batey's "JA and the English Landscspe at the moment...)
