To L and T indexSo true! One of my favorite books to look at again and again is my encyclopdeia of fashion, which covers ancient times to the 1970s. It really is fascinating to see how fashions just keep coming back, sometimes with almost no change, more often with slight modifications. Just look at the 1790s-1810s, the 1910s and the 1960s-1970s (high waist, "natural" hair). Or the 1850s-1860s and the 1950s (teeny waist, BIG skirt and wide shoulders). That's why I love copying vintage designs for wear today--they are so classy. The Regency and Edwardian periods are my faves.

Too many centuries, too little time!
