] Anybody ever notice that none of the actresses in P&P2 crossed their legs? If I'm not incorrect, this was considered unladylike in the extreme. Let's hear it for historical accuracy! It's the little things like that, that get missed.

If you are refering to me, I had nothing to do with this board, it's Amy's and Myretta's baby. As for crossing legs, I assume you are not refering to throwing one knee over the other, which even today is not proper. Propriety might perhaps have required crossed ankles, but not crossed legs. My guess is that with long skirts this is much less of an error, than with 20th Century short skirts.
