] When he was serving on board the Unicorn, Jane's brother Charles sent topaz crosses to his sisters, Jane and Cassandra. This picture shows both, now on display at the Jane Austen House in Chawton. The one on the right is Jane's.
Am I right in surmising that the topaz crosses sent by Charles to Jane and Cassy would have been more expensive than the amber one given Fanny by Will., as Will. would have been in a worse financial situation, not yet being "made"(if I have even basic MP chronology right) ?
