Crosses

The Regency Broad (O excellent!) sports one, Lizzy and Jane are beautifully adorned by them in P&P2, and I am sure Fanny Price recieves from her beloved brother William an agate (?) cross. Pray, what was the usual material these Regency ornaments were fashioned from? what stringent fashion codes governed the allowable size shape, colour? Who wore them ? What sort, if any, would JA herself have worn? Your help with these pressing matters of concern would be valued. Thanks. -Bonny
