I haven't ever seen a clock with an alarm that old...I will have to do some research (my mom may have a book or two) which will have an answer. Try doing a antique clock search on the net and narrowing down your field...perhaps you can find the answer here somewhere. As for you clock, It is still very collectible, whether from the early or late 19th century...hold on to it! Wish I could see it, it sounds lovely!
